Pura Vida Bahia, a place to enjoy nature!
Pura Vida Bahia is located in the Northeast of Brasil, between Salvador (200 km.) and Aracaju (110 km.).
Landing in Salvador you follow the linha Verde, passing places as Praia do Forte, Imbassai, Baixio, Conde,..
At km.186 you turn right, following the sign of Abadia... and after 5 km. you arrive in our paradise!
Pura Vida Bahia is a domain with 17 hectares of nature next to the river Rio Real, has a volleyball and a small soccer field. Each property has its private swimming pool and amazing views! The trial alongside the mangroves will show you once more the beauty all around.
Our pier leads you to the river Rio Real, which provides us with fish, crabs, oysters, shrimp, clams,...But is also Perfect for kayakking, fishing, birdwatching,...
On the domain you find bananas, coconuts, pineapples, oranges, açerola, lemon, goiaba, mango, papaya, passion fruits, cashew,...
And to top it off: our neighbours have a plantation of the superfruit açai!
Perfect for a healthy vacation in the middle of nature!
There are many beatifull places to visit, like the vast and calm beach of Costa Azul or idyllic places where the river mouths into the sea, such as Mangue Seco, Barra de Itariri, Siribinha,..
Or the more touristic beach of Sitio do Conde or the lagoa dos Tambaquis, where you can feed the big fish, and even swim with them.
Come and dream away in one of our 2 chalets (2p.), on top of the hill, with amazing views and each with a private swimming pool!
Also available: -casa fazenda (5p.) where you can experience how it is to live on a farm surrounded with palmtrees, cows, horses and exotic birds. It offers breathtaking views and offcourse your private swimming pool!
-the River house (8p.) which is located right by the river, and is surrounded by mangroves, nature at its best!
Wake up with the sounds of monkeys, parrots,... Catch your own fish, go kayakking or just experience this tranquility from your hammock or private swimming pool!
About us and Pura Vida Bahia
My name is Kristof Arnou, and together with my brother Frederik we started Pura Vida Bahia almost 11 years ago!
After several jobs in which I never found complete satifsaction, it was time for something different!
I took some time off and went backpacking through
Costa Rica, Mexico; USA, Canada, Jamaica.
Then Slovenia, Kroatia, Bosnia, Bulgary, Hungary,...
And these trips have really opened my eyes! Land was so much cheaper in most of these places!
So off course I got interested in what my little money could do in this wide world,..
I ended up going to Brasil with a friend of mine, whom was selling land over there..
Her parents showed and explained me everything I wanted to know about this paradise, and it was love at first sight!
The idea of Pura Vida Bahia was born! I bought some land and started drawing my dream project...
First the roads, water and electricity, and then the restaurant with swimming pool and a pier.
Soon after, my brother joined me, and we built 2 chalets with swimming pool to rent out.
After a few years we decided to change, and remodelled the restaurant into o vacation house, "the river house" (for 8p)
And last, but not least, we have "casa fazenda" (for 5p) which is the house of Frederik, who moved to Belo Horizonte with his family.
The possibility to jump in one of the swimming pools, or go fishing and get my own food whenever I want;
is what makes life so different here.
Every day feels like a holliday; in a beautifull environment, under the sun,...
Now the constructions are done, I want to become as self-sustaining as possible.
There is allready a waterwell, solar energy, cows, chickens, fruits,...
But now, I want to plant more fruits and vegetables, and provide with fresh seafood in a consistent way...
For me this is a place where you can live without spending much money on food or drinks!
For me this is paradise! :)
